seems like the Alone show only

wants the sort of ignorant, lazy pussies that comprise the canadian and US viewership They dont want anything to do with siberians or asians who want on the show, cause that kind of people DO know what to bring and do.

Wtf would you want to waste a month on processing firewood and building a shelter that's so ineffectual that it needs a fire in it? Ever examine a squirrels hide? how thick/warm is that? How much fat is on a squirrel? How much fat can he store/eat? Yet he survives -40F for months. Does he have a fire or additional layers of protection. No he does not. yet he makes it thru the winter. How? By having adequate food storage and staying in an insulated shelter, protected from the wind. and precipitation. If you're too dumb to figure out how to provide such a shelter for yourself, when you can take with you a 2" thick, multi-layered micro-climate of clothing, and add another 2" of dry debris after you launch, well, you dont deserve to be on the show, much less win the prize.

You might want to try your theories out, for more than an hour or two. Try them for a week, without going inside a structure or a vehicle or anything other than what you can cobble together.

I doubt you've done any real cold weather camping in weather below zero for any period of time. I know you can't even provide proof of any of your so called tests.

When you can easily bury your coals and charcoal in your ashes and keep the fire alive for 12+ hours, why the hell would you consider a ferrorod to be 'essential" There nothing "calorie wasting" about staring ONE fire with the flare, ferrchissakes and there lots less time and calories spent on burying coals in ashes than trying to start a fire every day with a damned ferrrod. Most people have no ability to THINK, man

wtf would you not want to be able to make and repair bags, clothing foot wear, pontoons, etc, which necessitate taking the tape. ? when you dont take the ferrood, you've freed up a pick which lets you take the big roll of duct tape. A nest made of narrow strips of duct tape ignites easily from a hot coal. A "sausage' of rolled up duct tape is an excellent way to ignite the shavings inside of an alternative Swedish torch, The swede then suffices to cook a meal and boil your water. It takes 10 minutes to prep a swede. If you need hot rocks, the swede easily ignites the Siberian fire lay, which heats up 3 head-sized rocks in half an hour, plenty hot enough to warm your sealed, insulated tarp shelter, igloo or debris-stuffed dugout shelter for the next 4 hours. Four hours of sleep, a couple of times per 24 hours, is plenty of rest, when all you need to do is melt pre-boiled ice blocks and hydrate and cook from jerky or dried fish

the key to lasting 100 days on Great slave lake is to get 200,000 calories in the 50 days before the lake freezes. The only reliable way of doing that, when all you have is a bow and 25 hooks, stuck in a 2.4 mile diameter circle, half of it on a lake, is to make a lot of netting, ASAP, along with a watercraft and use them intelligently, swiftly. You can half 1000 sq ft of netting in the water in 2 weeks and another 1000 sq ft of it in the water in another 10 days, I do NOT mean that you dont get each day's production into the water every day, either, dummy. So you'l catch 100 lbs of fish the first 2 weeks, then 100 lbs in the next week and then 400 lbs in the next 3 weeks. 350 calories per lb of live weight fish, and hole up.That will let a little woman win by losing less than 20 lbs, or a big man win by losing less than 50 lbs. Several guys have lost more weight than that, MUCH faster. The guy everyone "thinks' is so competetant is alan, winning season 1 by losing 60 lbs in 56 days. aint that a great testament to his ability to feed himself?

and if something goes wrong with your burried coals?

you really lack the experience to know that sometimes things go sideways.

I'd think you'd know this, having been arrested more than once. Or was being arrested part of your planning?
