couldn't sleep. I'll try again in the early am when it's to be 25F. for some reason, my left foot gets cold and the other one does not. Probably I've got a leaky heart valve. My sister had one, got it fixed with medication, supposedly. The blood pressure in one of my arms is significantly lower than in the other arm. I guess I'll have to take an extra wool sock. :- there is a problem, tho. When you toss and turn a lot and sleep on your side, as I do, the breathing hole is a pita to move with you. If you dont do so, you get a ton of condensation inside of your bivvy, in a big hurry. One of the otc sedatives did not do the trick. Il'll take another here in an hour or so. I got off of the ambien about 7 months agoI posted this at nearly 4 am, central time, so this site runs on CA time.

Sigh... would be neat if you would just think for five seconds before making pointless and ignorant pontifications. When it's 9:48 am forum time and 'nearly 4 am' central time, that means forum time is six hours ahead of central time; which is nowhere near California time.

Just the opposite if you think about it for five seconds; forum time being 6 hours ahead of central time means it's east of the central time zone, not west. And California time (PST) is two hours behind central, not six hours ahead. I suspect forum time is probably GMT, which a lot of sites use.

Thing is, it's not any kind of big deal what time zone the forum uses and really doesn't matter, yet you must pontificate ignorantly about it anyway.

All this "Testing" with garbage gear, to what end? I have no idea why anyone would lay out in the cold wrapped in garbage bags. "My foot got cold". No kidding. Yeah, drop a sleeping pill and then lay out in the cold wrapped in plastic. You get crazier by the day. Of course I don't think your actually doing this, but considering your other brilliant moves you might be.

Melvin, with all this discussion on how to make the best use of garbage, I am really starting to get the idea that "wifey" won't allow you an allowance so you can go out and purchase quality durable kit. Am I correct?
