that will make me another half a million when i win it. :-) Sales of classes, video and e books go with that win, you know. Just cause YOU are too scared/inept to handle it does not mean that I can't. I had a certain mechanic in Spld, ILL, tell me that he'd not try to drive the old van I had to St Louis, 60 miles away, while I was meaning to (and DID drive it to CA, while on the run from the feds, with $200 in my pocket. I then drove it around S Cal for 4 months and lived in it for 8 months, before seliing it to a scrap yard for $80, which is $600 in today's money. By that point in time, I had a shed that I set up shop and lived in for a few months, while i made the silenced smgs, sold some of them to ATF and used the money to get into the coke biz. I was making 3k or more per week of profit, which is almost 20k a week in today's money. I"m not at all scared of many things, the mere idea of which make you pee your pants

if the gear you take is the same gear that all the failures have taken, you'l be stuck dong only what the failures have been able to do, which means you''ll fail. There's nothing to lose and a lot to be gained by trying other things. So of course that's what the bold will do, while the timid continue to fail. If I fail, my fate will be no different than it would have been by doing what the timid do, so why not try it? I"m ready to bet 10k that I can handle 200 days at the Alone challenge, on Great Slave Lake and do it my way. Just cause a bunch of mice can't imagine doing so is no detriment to the alpha wolf trying it. When I borrowed 6k from the college loan, dropped a semester to go to Asia for a wife, and spent it all, I had no way of meeting the monetary requirements for importing her here. I sent her another 6k as we waited a year for her visa, medical clearance, etc, too. In the meantime, i secured the needed income. How many would have dared such a thing? :-)

in 1983, my gf at the time, asked me to drive her Dodge opal to her out in Omaha, Neb, I was in spld, ILL. She offered to pay for my airfare back to spld. I took the cash instead and hitchhiked back to ill, with a .22 iverjohnson in my pocket. I had dug up my old Army uniform. It took me 8 hours to drive to Omaha and 12 hours to hitch back, I got a ride after dark, offered the guy money and he wouldn't take it. Got a ride with a single woman, a trucker, 6 different people, in total. Only for the at-night attempt did I make a sign to flash. The ride across to Peoria, the guy was driving 80+ mph. :-) At the time, I was livig off of the occasional sale of a silenced Ruger .22 autopistol Money was very tight. I risked that hitch to save $40 on a bus ticket.
