$5 at Dollar tree should suffice for 3 weeks.

you dont need any food for three weeks and you can catch SOME, if you know anything. Buy 1-2 packs of garbage bags, 1 if it's buggy, you need a pack of dryer anti-cling sheets instead.

buy a knife, a breadpan, a roll of clear packing tape (you) get lots more of it than $1 worth of duct tape. Cut some of the bags into strips, twist into cordage, make a big pump drill for firemaking. The pump drill is MUCH easier than bow drill and it doesn't heat/stress the cordage nearly as much.

the bags can be slit open, taped together and used to form a shelter, used as a sleeping mat, stuffed with debris, used as a sleeping bag (also with debris) used as containers, filter water thru your t shirt and boil it in your breadpan. $20 and one night is nothing. any 10 year old kid should manage that, in pretty bad weather, actually. The $ tree, stainless knife, with the curved back, is a pretty good blade, actually.

I used to answer ads for correspondence in American Survival Guide. One of my pen pals was a gypsy in England, who lived by traveling and sharpening tools. He said that as a not yet 7 year old, he'd had to spend an overnight in the snow. i forget the circumstances, it was 20+ years ago when we corresponded. He had his knife and some matches and got thru just fine. Today's adults are helpless by comparison. We need a pandemic that kills off everyone with less than 120 IQ. My god, people are stupid.

Well Melvin, you better drop over to your local "Dollar Tree" and pull out a "5'er". There are a lot of grocery stores all over North America starting to look like they are located in Venezuela!

You don't need any food for three weeks? A healthy person can live three weeks without food, that's true. But you won't be healthy after three weeks, now will you? More like too weak to do anything. You'll also have damaged your body enough that you will probably never be back to 100%. A mild Cold will kill you. Some people are so Stupid.

This. I've gone a week without food; a voluntary fast. And I could tell a real difference in my mental speed by the end of it. For the first 2-3 days, all was good, but by day 7, mental fog was very real. And that was while still taking vitamin & mineral supplements. Going 21 days, without food or supplements either one, in a high-stress, dangerous environment relying on knives and fire..? Only way I can see a person functioning is the way the Japanese and German troops did in WW2; with amphetamines or some other uppers.

If Melvin had paid attention to the 6 seasons of "Alone" as he says he did, he would have noticed how both men and women functioned after 30+ days with extremely minimal resources.

Not a good plan if you want to stay healthy and alive. If anything, you’d be better off making sure your body is fueled an in good shape. Starving yourself suppresses your immune system.
