Sleeping bag deal

Never used this brand, but thought I'd pass along the deal. Waterproof, good for people over 6' tall, hooded to help keep the head warm, comfortable sleep rating down to 15F, and 4.3 out of 5 star rating with nearly 700 reviews. Only $39.99

Garand, you need Artic gear for sure! The sleeping bag that John has pictured is pretty much all you would ordinarily need in more temperate climates. The point is you can gear up for harsh conditions without breaking the bank or trying a do it yourself cold weather kit.

Even if you are not over 6’ tall, you can put clothes at the foot of the bag so they will be warm when you get up and put them on....

It only got down to around 30 here last night, but with a slow misting drizzle and my truck was covered in ice when I went out there this morning. Day before yesterday was 68 degrees; these temperature swings are playing hob with people, colds & sinus issues and such.

Enough of this winter nonsense. We're hopping a boat to Mexico & Belize in a week or so - my wife is hugely looking forward to being somewhere warm for a while.

Plus there are a ton sleeping bag deals on eBay etc, for used like new military stuff. Just because the color is no longer "issue".

And man is the wind howling across my mountain this morning and the rain is coming down.

I once tried to help with a problem he was alleged to be having with the Veteran's Administration Health Care. He claimed they wouldn't give him a referral to an outside Doctor. I thought this was odd because if they don't have the opening to see a Specialist (back problems) they will schedule Community Care. I did a little checking and found out this is a ploy to get more prescription pain killer's that the VA is already providing. I should have seen this one coming. Of course Melvin never responded when confronted. For a guy who claims to hate the government he has more or less lived off the government dole his entire Adult life. Prison included.
