Seen the video Melvin, what makes you think that you will be able to build a fire in a tactical situation? Perfect way to give away your position, you can't always guarantee that people that will be hostile to you, will have less field experience than you do.

It does seem the opposite of what you used to espouse - the "hiding in a spider hole for a year" thing.

Nobody could ever spot Mel in his "supershelter", at least in his mind. Those two remaining brain cells have to be getting tired of what the mouth is spouting off nonstop.

Spider hole topic will be next month. But who will dig it for him?

I'm still waiting for Melvin to explain to me why he would rather choose a life raft rather than a 10 ft. kayak, which is a lot more rigid, more difficult to puncture, easier to paddle, faster in the water and can hold up to 200+ lbs of gear as well as a chubby Melvin. They even have 2 person kayaks available if he wants to take "wifey" with him.

Somehow Mel an a Kayak don't seem right. Besides he would have to buy one! He would rather dumpster dive for trash to build something that the warlords would fall over laughing at.

Well I agree with you that Melvin hasn't put a lot of thought into his fantasy of floating down the Mississippi or any river of the fantasy flavor of the week. His rubber life raft would be lucky to make 5-9 miles a day, where the kayak would make 30-40 miles a day with a lot less physical effort.
