very challenging match "bonnie and clyde"
first stage has a time limit of 5 seconds, draw and hit each of 6 bad guys, arranged at 15 yds, around 3 good guys, so as to present only half a torso as a target. Practicing for this with Bob Arganbright, he hit a hostage almost every run. So, on match day, when they blew the whistle, he yelled "DUCK" as he drew! :-)

40 years ago, who cares, what are you shooting this weekend? I'm Match Director of a local 5 stage (99 rd) Action Pistol match, full array of targets, lots of steel, paper with hard cover, clay pigeons and bowling pins. It should be a hoot!

Sounds like a tot of fun and a good way to keep sharp. I'm going to start going to more matches, most of them are so darn far away, though. The Fraternal Order of Police sponsors a few but it's a 200 plus miles to attend. The LESB shoot got me going to compete again.

Actually I find that the club matches are more fun to shoot, since most people are there to get in some range time and have some fun. Shooting a State, Regional, Division and National Championships are not about having a good time, it is more like work. Some people get really childish about things that really matter very little.
