a dirt bank. ? if you just want noise and shaking of your body, you can always rent a jackhammer for a LOT less money than a belt fed.

a helluva lot of gun people are just plain weird. Belt feds are completely impractical if you dont have a large group of men to support one. You just can't bring enough ammo to anyplace by yourself, the damned things MISS too much, and a 308 version is really stupid, cause you can only carry half as much ammo for it as a 223 variant.

here's what would be best. It can be had with a silencer, too.

As are corvettes, jet-skis, and crotch-rockets. But to join a motorcycle forum and constantly insult people who own crotch rockets would be not only rude but pointless as well, wouldn't it?

Manure..

The assault wheelbarrow, if real, should enable one to carry enough ammo to feed a crew-served weapon in almost any caliber..

Or a helicopter? If you do not overload it like you did.

" to have rapidfire" That was in one of your other posts, now twist it around to something else like always.
Belt feds are completely impractical if you dont have a large group of men to support one. You just can't bring enough ammo to anyplace by yourself, the damned things MISS too much...
An 0331 (Marine Corps MOS for machine gunner) is deployed as a 3-man squad, and that includes a FO.

A machine gun team is there for force multiplication and to lay down suppressive fire for troop movement.

A belt-fed BMG plus ammo is a heavy MoFo loadout for one person... on that you are correct. That's why it's considered a crew-served weapon on a foot patrol, but when the '31 has his 60, 50 cal, or Mk19 vehicle-mounted, it's not. You gotta be a big strong SOB to hump a '60 into combat, but it's done every damn day in far away places. Hell, I saw John Rambo fire a '60 one-handed in First Blood... he just threw those pointy bullets around his neck and made mincemeat out of Sheriff Brian Dennehy's corrupt, small-town WA barracks. I SAW him do it on YouTube!
