extreme shock

Got the new Guns&Ammo mag today. They have an article On Extreme Shock ammo. http://www.extremeshockusa.com/
They mention an have a pic of 7x62x39 subsonic in 200gr. Extreme Shock doesnt have this on there web site. I use a 154gr now always wanted a heaver round. I dont know how they would feed since there have a rounded nose. I like to try them though. Anyone know anything more about them?

A rounded nose in theory will give you better feeding. A close friend has purchased these for his .38 but in my book these are way too expensive and untested for the money. Using the that bullet I might actually suggest an even lighter bullet. CorBon makes a self defense bullet that comes in at 125 grains that can be had from midwayusa.com. I do not use CorBon in my rifles but I do use it in my pistols. I use my shotgun for HD. Attached is one review for CorBon pistol ammunition to give you an idea what people are saying about the ammunition right now.

What I would be concerned about with these rounds are the construction. One of the ingredients that give them the density is tungsten. I hope they have pretty heavy copper jackets, because I think the tungsten is going to win any arguments it has with the rifling in your weapon's barrel, I guess if you're shooting an AK it might not hurt the accuracy that much (Just joking, do not take serious).

Good point about the tungsten didnt know they had that in them. As far a going lighter no thanks. The whole lighter/faster/better theory in my book is a joke. I'll take a 45 over a 9 and 7.62.39/54 over a 5.56 and a 12 over a .410 anyday. Heaver the grain the better for me.
