Has anyone out there loaded 110gr V-max or 100gr SJ in .308. I own a savage striker and would like to hand load a lite and fast coyote round. I've been tempted to try the factory hornady light mag. loads but in .308 I think you can only get 155gr which seems like a little overkill which I'm not opposed to but I would like to be able to pick him up after he's down. Thanks for any input or suggestions.

I've never used 110gr or 100gr bullets but I've had great luck using the SPEER 125gr "TNT" HP.

I tried loads using 100 grain projectiles many MANY moons ago, but couldn't get them to group worth a damn. But I think the only .308 I had at the time was a H&K 91 with a polygonal barrel. So this may not apply in your situation.

Back when Speer introduced the 100 gr .30 caliber plinker, we shot a zillion of them out of 30/06 and at screaming velocities. They don't make target loads for sure but on the other had they were super deadly. I don't think you'll have a bit of problem with 110gr bullets in 308. Load away.

I have loaded some 'accelerator' rounds for my 30.06,... I know it doesn't help with the .308, however, the nice thing about reloading is that you can experiment with different bullet powder combinations until you get something that works for you.
