The cost of ammo is freaking me out too. Thats the reason I started buying ammo by the case when it was cheaper some time back. Also getting into reloading heavily and bought some more molds for casting my own bullets.Now I gotta get in gear and find some wheelweights. Gotta stock up on extra powder and primers too.

Kind of an odd thought to think that all that ammo I bought years back might have been a solid investment. I doubt you can even FIND much of the .50BMG ammo I bought back then.

Be advised Friends. A VERY good source has told me Factory ammunition is scheduled to increase again after September 1. Also, since Wal-Mart has ditched firearms, expect to see a country-wide increase in factory firearms in all sporting goods stores. This includes Cabellas and the other "Chain Stores".

Yes, I have seen the letters from all the major manufacturers that ammo prices are indeed going up Sept. 1. Most are going up 12 to 25 percent, and one has gone so far to say they are going up again Jan. 1 12 percent across the board.
