I just bought 200 dollars worth of .308 ammo that is headstamped "B81 7.62 R1M1". The only other marks are a stamp on the boxes that say 051 B05/81 It came in the plastic "battle packs" that seem to be common these days. I assume the last stamp means x51 and it was made in May of 1981? What the hell is is? The guy who sold it to me said that he wasn't sure if it was Portugese or South African. Anyone know for sure? Please tell me that Hk-91's eat it like candy.......please?!? |

No idea. My Port and SA don't have headstamps like that. Does it have the NATO cross in a circle on it? RIKA |

I have a general rule of not shooting ammo from a country that I can't drink the water in. Lord I hope this isn't Indian... | |
