My Son-In-Law is looking hard at this rifle. At first glance I thought the thing was pretty unappealing, but that doesn't make it a poor performer. At $3500.00 plus tax and bottle deposit it should shoot sub MOA groups at five hundred yards. I'll stick with my Colt's. Kid's these day's.

Same here - one of my sons was enamored with the SCAR for a while in his 20's, but he ended up sticking with the plain old CAR carbine, I suspect largely due to the cost difference. We all probably did stupid crap at that age; I know I certainly did. |

I find it amazing the crap that the guys that shoot "3 gun nation" style shooting on their guns. Are they planning a vacationing in Afghanistan or Iraq? As a young infanteer we were issued a lot less crap to put on our guns and we actually got the job done. Many have never heard of the KISS principle.
