you will be ahead to dump all but the SKS and the .22 rifle, get a 4" Buckmark .22, maybe a Star 9mm BM. you can get $400-$600 for the 870-12 ga bolt, 3006, and Ruger, depending upon condition and sale to dealer or private parties. The Browning .22 and the Star won't set you back more than $400, tops, and you will have lots more fun and practical learning potential.

if you want to hunt elk, bears, moose, a $50 Mosin Nagant can handle that chore. A used, 20 ga single shot, $50, will handle the shotgun stuff with ease.

Sometimes all I can do is laugh histerically at your posts melvin. Utter ranting.

Ghostrider, that AK variant will server you well. AKs are the most reliable weapons in the world. Undisputable, even the M14 dosent compare. Nice trade too.

You won't go wrong with an SKS. It's a very versatile rifle. I've kept all mine stock, only remoing the bayonets from the Chinese ones. My three Yugoslavian ones stay original. If you enjoy modifying yours, there's all kinds of options out there. My Son shot his first deer with an SKS. Enjoy, and ignore John, he's alway's jealous when someone buy's a gun of any type because he can't own one. By the way, what's a playstation 2 worth?

fact IS, you are 10x as likely to need a pistol as rifle, in "normal times", 10x as likely to find pistol matches as rifle matches. Mainly, the rifle matches worth competing in, the SKS can be quite competitive. That is, sub 200m speed shooting. 10x a likely to find pistol ranges as rifle ranges, too. Someday soon, the Star BM 9mmwill be $300, just watch. A spare Buckmark barrel can be silenced, etc. I'd advise the trading of the Remington 22 for a used Marlin Papoose, so as to get the takedown feature, add a spare 6" barrel and telescoping stock for it ASAP.
