ATF doesn't grant 1000 NEW silencer app's

a year. That is, for private citizen, non-cops, who've never had a silence license BEFORE. So, the chances of YOU getting one, legally, is between zero and zip. So much for all the bs about "commercially available' cans. :-) Your only REALISTIC option is to make one, and the only quality plans available to you are the ones I sold to Paladin and to Frugal Squirrel.

Trying to drum up ilegal business?

It isn't that hard to get one, as I know people who have.

You're just whining because you can't legally do squat.

Not everyone is drooling about getting a "Can" or a .22 conversion unic on their AR15. I personally do not like the system, or the cartridge, and wouldn't hunt deer with either. The weapon can be very accurate, but at a cost in reliablity, and the cartridge is a high powered woodchuck round not a big game weapon. Ant business You drummed up here could be considered conspiracy if Your PO is watching might want to file that tidbit in you data bank.

Buying a commercial supressor is a matter of paying the manufacturer, paying the $200 tax, and playing the AFT waiting game, nothing more. It's just that not that many civilians feel they absolutely, positively are going to die if they don't have one, so not many go through the rigamarole to get one.

The ones bought off of Leroy the drug dealer are bought by career criminals whose knowledge of firearms and tactics is about equal to their knowledge of how to be a decent human. A good example of such is our very own Goonkid.

While I'm "LE", that info wasn't listed anywhere on the applications I sent (you have to send in two, filled out identically... ) to the ATF for my AAC M4-2000 unit. Could be something that comes up during the search (you would assume so, anyway), but wasn't listed anywhere on any paperwork that I saw. And the dealer said mine went through in roughly the same time frame as anyone else's.

According to the Class 3 dealer (let's call him "Scott"), other than purchases by actual departments, he's only got one customer other than me who carries a badge; to me, that means the ATF must be approving supressor paperwork for "somebody" out there who's just "Joe Citizen".

Actually, there is no way in the world he could know such a number. The ATF NFA is a TAX meaning they are not allowed to release that kind of information.

He's BSing as usual

GK is obsessed with silencers, thinking they are the end all be all and they are the magic wand which will make him invincible, hence he thinks EVERYONE must have the same fetish.

And also makes the mistake that since most people are not interested in his illegal hack jobs, that they don't have the real deal, legally.
