Jeff INSISTS on multipe shots, rapidfire,

for realistic pistol defense, but just because you HAPPEN to be carrying a Scout Rifle, such needs can NEVER happen. See, all you have to do is TOSS that scoped bolt action onto the pavement, rocks, etc, DRAW pistol, and fire at a couple of guys at 25-50m. They CAN'T possibly hit you in the 3-6 seconds this all will TAKE. :-)

Silly boy. If you are using the proper kind of sling, just let go of it and it will swing safely out of the say so you can draw your sidearm.

yeah? go TRY it, dummy. :-) You will STILL need 3-6 seconds, and you dont walk around with such a sling properly engaged, either. It's clumsy and a PITA.

Wise words from the man who relies 70's and 80's gun rags for his info. He has no current experience at shooting. Sad. Real sad. You've probably never even used a proper sling.

Stupekid has never been to an advanced shotgun course where transitioning to pistols from longarms are taught. 3 seconds is SLOW. And we do retain the shotgun (or rifle) without throwing down ANYTHING.

FOS stupekid, as usual you are an FOS wannabe.

you will NOT "transition" from rifle to pistol, hit 2 separate chests at the 25m range I mentioned, in less than 3 seconds, I dont care WHO you are.; The rifle has to be dropped, and it BOUNCHES on your body, via the sling, and that slows down your ability to get the hit. What you THINK we are talking about, stupid, is dropping the rifle, drawing and hitting ONE guy, ONCE, at 5 yds. Just because you can't READ, stupid, doesn't make what I said inaccurate. It's just proof that you can't READ.

Since you're ONLY talking about ONE target, you could always put the chambered .308 through him.

And if you're REALLY in a combat situation, you will be carrying the rifle properly. Unless you're someone who skipped the last 3 decades of tactics and doesn't even know how to use a sling. . .

MELVIN, there aren't even two people, in the world, who give a damn about your tactical ruminations.

Using the word tactical, to describe your fulminating ruminations was a genorosity on my part.
