I found me a "good ol boy" who puts on such hunts. $1000 for a week, 2 guys, up to 5 hogs per pair, camp out in his yard, bring your own food. He runs traps as well as dogs, has hog feeders and trail cams over several square miles of brush.

I never got into paid hunting trips or camps or such. Granted I'm not the most avid hunter, but spending a thousand dollars on something that (best-case) is the hope of bringing home no more than two & a half pigs seems wasteful to me. More power to anyone who wants to; I just never cared to spend that much money on it. |

$1,000(US) will get myself and my wife, 2x 3 day Cowboy Action matches in Montana, gas, ammo, match fees, motels. I know you can't eat steel, but just the competition is fun.

What brand of sling bow are you using or is this one you've built? I looked at one once online. I can't recall the name. It looked well made but no comparison with draw weights of regular bows. Okay slingbow.com I found it again. They do list a 40lb. Sling bow band set. Just can't find anything on performance or recommendations for deer or hogs So I'm interested in any field rest results Last edited by BigEd; 10-25-2018 at 05:20 AM. Reason: for clarification |
