On one of my TX22's the end cap covering the suppressor threads keeps shooting loose. I mentioned this before. Any suggestions on keeping it in place? Thanks.

A wrap or two of teflon tape.

Teflon tape, or a small dab of silicone may work if it's enough to hold it in place but still let it release without over-torquing things. I might try a small O-ring first; just big enough to go over the threads and jam up in place when the cap or threaded adapter is in place. I think I remember some .22 manufacturer doing this on their threaded barrel sometime in the past. If you can find the right size O-ring, you can probably get them at home depot or lowes cheap enough to have spares on hand. Something like these, but you'd have to check size for the TX: https://www.blacklistind.com/product...h-o-ring-pack/ Last edited by John in AR; 07-31-2020 at 01:39 PM. |

Thanks Guy's. I bought all three, somethings going to work. Not really a big thing as it stops loosening after about 2 and 1/2 half turns.
