the short variant, and to my great disappointment, it runs like a swiss watch. I wanted to fix what Joe couldn't. :-) Only got one mag with it, so maybe some of those will cause problems .

That’s good, that it runs well. The 22 conversion units are mostly pretty good nowadays.

I picked up 8 magazines for my .22 Kimber Conversion kit, the more the merrier. A few years back in this area, 3 gun rimfire matches were popular, and I made it to at least 3 a year.

Mine just would not function with the SV ammo I use in everything else so I gave it away to grandson along with 6 mags but with walnut grips, kept the rosewood for the 938. Will give him that one this summer along with some S&W. an anything else he wants. Like a new in box model 14.
Oh an another thing Melvin WE do not have to hide everything an keep looking over shoulder. Back to shop now an finish loading 44 spl.

I've had good luck with the AA kit on my Glock 21 and the Kadet Kit on a CZ 75 Compact frame. I'm only using CCI Mini Mags and Golden Bullet's. I've pretty much stopped using bulk since I panic bought about 10,000 of each. I do have some Thunderbolt that I shoot in revolvers. Here's the Glock and kit. Melvin feel free to post pictures of Wifey's gun and kit. Like that would ever happen.

MiniMags are the ‘secret sauce’ when it comes to 22lr ammunition imo. I don’t shoot a ton of it, mostly bulk stuff, but in the 2-3 years I’ve actively kept track, both solid and hp minimags are the only rounds to have run 100% in every gun I’ve tested them in; both pistol and rifle. I’d have to check my spreadsheet to be sure, but iirc they’ve even run 100% in the conversion kits.

If I were the type of person () to have an emergency stash of potentially serious-use rimfire ammo, it would be minimags.

Just checked my spreadsheet on minimags in various guns. The only conversion kit I've kept records of testing it in is the AA G26 kit, and it's run 100% in that. The G26 kit is the most finicky of my 22 conversions, and minimags are the ONLY round that work 100% reliably in it; so odds are the minimags would work reliably in the other conversion kits, but I haven't confirmed that.
