The Hellcat caused an impulse buy after striking out on the Taurus Spectrum. It didn't help with the Wife at my elbow saying " Oh that;s cute, your going to buy it, aren't you?" At any rate it's certainly a nice pistol with more than adequate accuracy and so far no reliability issues with cheap FMJ and Remington Golden Saber 124 Grain Plus P. The front sight a illuminated green with a white U for a rear sight. Really easy to pick up. The grip is hand filling with both the 13 and 11 round magazines, which by the way, are superb. Recoil even with the hotter loads is quite manageable. The trigger is the safety type, no better or worse than most of the striker fired types. Heavier than I'm used to but better than the Glock 17. The "Stand Off" feature is a good idea that one would hope to never use. All in all a nice firearm for concealed carry and a lot of firepower in a small package. It is made in Croatia that might a turn off for some people, but being a CZ lover foreign manufacture bother me. New EDC gun? Well, no. I'm still going with the CZ P-01 and 97b. I'm not overly concerned with a gun being more concealable. I like the heft of a larger pistol in a self defense mode. I'm going to carry the Hellcat certainly on the rare occasions that call for it, probably in a pocket carry or IWB. I have to shoot it a lot more first. It was $535.00 out the door "ON SALE!!". Yeah, right. Anyway, here it is with the magazines and soft case. Trigger lock included.
