6.3x 4.5", 12 ozs, sub 3" groups at 25 yds, from standing, Unlike the M21 berretta, it's got a full sized frame (given the extended mag) and it's got an extractor. Since it's a conversion unit, it fits your 9mm holster and mags fit your 9mm pouches. It can be shipped in the mail to anyone in the US. It's $250, spare mags are about $50, and the threaded barrel for silenced use is about $100.

I would still rather have my Beretta .22 M70 if I were to put a suppressor on anything.

you don't understand the basis for it. it's not JUST about having a suppressed .22 handgun. it's about having a COMPACT, really lw one, which can't be done with the M70. given a guy who's already GOT the Sig 9 and .22 unit, why not suppress the latter, since Sig offers a threaded barrel for it? the end result is 2" shorter than is possible with the Beretta. Beretta aint a pocket gun, can't be used as a trainer for a pocket gun If I wanted a belt gun that was a suppressed .22, I'd look at a 22-45, buckmark, hP22, or Smith 22 A, depending upon what I was willing to spend and whether or not it was intended as a throwaway pc, a cache gun, etc. M70 is many times more expensive than the HP22, and less accurate than one of the match style .22 autos. The ruger's a pita to thread and shorten the barrel, and the safety on it is awkard to use at speed. M22 A has a readily changed barrel but an awkward safety. T'he buckmark has the best ergonomics, but it's a bit on the heavy side.

Probably because I already own a .22 M70, plus I like it, plus I shoot well with it, plus I really don't care about the cost as long as it works for me. Why do you have this problem with other people liking firearms that work for them? Also, if you look into the history of the .22 Model 70, it was the assassination weapon of choice in Europe for at least 1 Intelligence agency in the '70's & '80's.
