I cut the 5" barrel to 3.8" long and threaded it 3.8 x 24 fine thread, for the silencer. Paint the back of the can white and the sights black. Use both eyes open. one eye aligns the sights, one sees the target, you brain will superimpose the 2 images, control the trigger and you'll hit. $200 for both barrels is a great little package!
Do NOT trust the safety. It's made of pot metal and will very soon wear to the point of being unsafe! Just lower or cock the hammer with your thumb. no need to leave the chamber empty. i used loktite to disable the slide mounted safety and to lock in place the "wriggling" rear sight. i polished the chamber and feed ramp, mag lips, breechface and extractor hook and it worked just fine, but put less than 1000 rds thru it before I got busted.. It IS made mostly of pot metal, but it's got steel parts where you need the durability of steel. it's a bit large for a front pants pocket, but not hugely so.
