I cut the 5" barrel to 3.8" long and threaded it 3.8 x 24 fine thread, for the silencer. Paint the back of the can whire and the sights black. use both eyes open. one eye aligns the sights, one sees the target, you brain will superimpose the 2 images, control the trigger and you'll hit

do NOT trust the safety. it's made of pot metal. Just lower or cock the hammer with your thumb. no need to leave the chamber empty. i used locktite to disable the slide mounted safety and to lock in place the "wriggling" rear sight. i polished the chamber and feed ramp, mag lips, breechface and extractor hook and it worked just fine, but put less than 1000 rds thru it . it IS mostly pot metal, but it's got steel parts where you need the durability of steel.

it would usually group 1.5" for 5 at 25 yds, from sitting braced, with the 5", about half that good with the 3" barrel. the locking mechanism for the barrel swap is amazingly ingenious and solid as a rock. better have a really good grip, or you''ll be unable to take down the gun, actually, stiff spring on that takedown plunger.
