barrels, scope on the herret barrel. this was 1974 or thereabouts. Had $200 in it and could see no use for it in Illinois. Had a lot more success and fun with a silenced Beretta .22 short, actually. :) Walking back alleys for rats with a flashlight was a blast, pun intended. It does ok on starlings and blackbirds to 50 ft, too. Hits enough of them to remain interesting. Beretta used-to (does?) offer a 4" barrel for it, which I cut to 3" and threaded. Had to install a front sight on the front of the can and weld up the top rear of the slide for a real dovetailed sight, and get rid of the trigger overtravel. Neat gun and with 2.5" of sleeved, underchambered can, very quiet. Not enough power for human taking of critters larger than rat or pigeon sized targets, tho. 50 ft lbs or less and no expansion of a hp, even if its a large, cone-shaped hp made with your knife. Such hp's, from a rifle tho, blow up sparrows quite resoundingly. That's what an "extra" 300 fps can mean, with a lead hp
