I have read all kinds of posts on leather holsters and custom stretching to the gun fitting. I would think with all the people out there these days and people experimenting there would be a way of stretching the holster a bit. I have a 44 magnum taurus and if I push hard I can put rear sights on holster otherwise it sits up about 1/2 inch it has strap and is secure and draws easy whether pushed in all the way or not I need or want it to slide in though not have to force the gun down do these holsters break in better with use since a good strong push does make it fit.

Yes!

Otherwise, what we used to do with leather holsters is to dip them in very hot water for a minute, or two. Then the pistol would be tightly wrapped in Saran Wrap and form-fitted into the holster while it was good 'n wet. Afterwards, the holster would be left to dry out for 3 or 4 days with the gun left inside it.

Whenever I used this technique I always had beautiful fitting leather holsters! It should be mentioned, however, that many of today's leather holster makers, 'wet-form' their holsters on a hard cast, 'dummy gun' while making them.
