I don't have to take shyte off of anyone
and you can BELIEVE I wont, (ever) Not taking shyte is not the same thing as "anger issues". it's just being a man, something garand and terry don't know anything about (obviously) In OKC jail, a black was hogging TWO phones, running back and forth, playing the tough guy. I just reached over, hung up the one he was not at, and called my party. He got all huffy, looking around for help from his homeboys. He was new and they had SEEN me training. They told him "you're one your OWN with HIM, homie". :-) He did NOTHING, cause he could see I was going to feed his nuts to him. There's pos's everywhere who will shyte all over you, if you LET them. If somebody had stomped their asses the first few times they TRIED it, they'd not have grown up to be pos's.

Did I tell you about the time I kicked the crap out of the Pope? It was 1982 and his hat blocked my view at a Razorbacks football game so he got a flying sidekick out of the stands. A group of the Papal Swiss Guard started to rush me with their pikes, but luckily for them, Jesus held up his hand and said "boys, even I won't mess with this one." :-)
It was a day none of them will EVER forget, but just another saturday afternoon for me... ;)

You talk tough, that's about it. Most of us will lay odds that you are a marshmallow inside Melvin. You brag yet when asked for proof about a statement, you run and hide like a child caught in a lie. You tell us we should be jealous of you or envious of you without explaining why.
I have no doubt that you actually realize how YOU screwed up your own life and are jealous and envious of our modest achievements in family, friends, homes, hobbies, etc.

Back in '67 I was just a skinny kid, but I didn't take nothing from nobody. Once this guy, musta been 6'4" 250 lbs. jostled me at the bus stop, taking no crap, I gave him a shove in the chest. Man, you shoulda seen his tin cup, pencils and white cane go flying!

If I were to lie about it would be a Federal Crime. Impersonating a Law Enforcement Officer IS a crime.
|Garand ||05-31-2016 10:56 AM |
Melvin, most of us have varied backgrounds, Military, Law Enforcement, etc and other occupations where you have to walk a hairy edge at times. Did you ever spend time either under fire or firing upon someone during your military service? Did you ever engage in an occupation where you had to put your life on the line for the good of others? Personally, I just considered part of my job nothing outstanding about it. Others may disagree so be it. Do we brag about how "tough" we are? Melvin, if you gotta brag there generally isn't any substance behind the words.

I'm a sweetheart. I love puppies. And kittens. I aspire to the inner peace and eternal light exemplified by Ghandi,Saint Francis....and Iggy Pop.

I prefer Sam Colt and John M. Browning, myself
|gripper ||05-31-2016 12:40 PM |
Vlad The Impaler works as well for me.

I love Dog's, preferably with a Pheasant in their mouth.

Nice looking dog! I always had Pitties and Dobies but the little Black Lab I gave my Dad is a joy to be around.
|John in AR ||05-31-2016 03:23 PM |
Yeah, love dogs; somebody poisoned our dogs I believe, back in August.
We had two awesome mixed labs (lab & shepherd mix), lived in a 32x96 pen out back. One day they were both healthy, next day they were both dead with no marks on them that we could find. We have snakes and scorpions around here, so it's possible that something like that got them, but seems very unlikely. Didn't have cameras pointing at the dog pen either; my bad on that one. :headbang:
Haven't replaced them as we're in the process of selling the place and moving to an extremely rural property, but once there, definitely getting one or two dogs. I want a couple of ovcharkas, but my wife is against it...
|gripper ||05-31-2016 03:30 PM |
Ovcharkas are awesome. Sorry about the loss of your beloved dogs. Anyone who would poison a dog would meet their end around me.

Are you kidding me? That's not a Dog, that's a mushroom induced nightmare! I'd sleep somewhere else, for sure. Seriously, I've never seen one. How much do they weigh, eat? Probably have to buy a Cowe very month for two of them.
|gripper ||05-31-2016 03:33 PM |
They always struck me as an Eastern Bloc hybrid of a Wolf and a Bear.

You're sounding very much like my wife. Killjoy... :nyah:
A male will hit 200-210lbs. I have no idea what they eat, but my first guess would be "whatever they want". They're known for being VERY protective of anyone or anything they see as their family - kids, livestock, whatever - and so would be great imo with grandkids in the near future. Also figuring to have some small number of stock around, and these would be good for protecting our (their) property.
Actually we've been considering miniature cattle, just to make things more convenient at butchering time. These are full-grown:
We may not go that route, as the miniature cattle actually cost more than normal cattle. Haven't really decided yet, but I would just LOVE to see that pasture - gigantic dogs herding miniature cattle.

John- Sorry for the loss of your dogs.
Re their possible replacements I wonder how they would handle Arkansas's climate?
|Garand ||06-01-2016 04:10 PM |
So Melvin, tell us where you placed in Rhodesia? Who placed 1st? What was your time? Were there any official photographs?
|John in AR ||06-01-2016 08:52 PM |
...Re their possible replacements I wonder how they would handle Arkansas's climate?
I've wondered about that, but I'd be willing to trim them if need be; they have such great family and rural-property attributes, and I that bad want an extremely-large dog.
|BigEd63 ||06-06-2016 09:22 PM |
Okay their name threw me and when I got around to search that's also known as a Caucasian Mountain Dog.
Someone posted about them on Warrior Talk a few years ago. I wouldn't mind one or two myself.
