your practice is, what matters is what you can DO. You're either fast up close, or you're kidding yourself about what's required for defense. there's no reason to be slow on the ccw draw, since it can be learned with dryfire, primer only wax ammo, or airsoft. the reason is you are slow is you're too lazy to do the WORK involved, several hundred hours of repetitive movment, before a full body mirror, both facing it and in profile. A vid cam helps, too, but many men have attained super speed without one.

Can you hold a qt can, as high as possible, but out in front of you a foot or more, with the hand that will clear your concealing garment, drop the can, clear your garment, draw and hit it before it hits the ground? if you can, you're a top hand. If you can't, you need more practice.
