bedroom and living room are full of boxed-up stuff for the move, and she hasn't even made a dent in moving her stuff. Closets are still stuffed. I'll move my stuff in a couple of hours and laugh at her. :) I warned her it was going to cost her $1000 to have $200 worth of junk, never-worn shoes and clothing moved, but she wouldn't listen. I believe in smacking people with the truth, either physically or thru their wallets. She's going to find out, in 1-2 years, that she paid 2x too much for the house, too. Should have waited 6-12 months for the inevitable housing crash that's going to accompany the stock market and dollar-crash.

Melvin, just wondering if in the past couple of years if your wife ever said to you "I love you"?

Ive got a litle surprise in reserve, too. I can still get her deported, for 5 years after her getting her green card here, by saying she got here under false pretenses. She has no idea that such a ruling exists That doesnt expiire untl November of 2021. Guess whose name is on the house, but not on the loan? . :) Once again, for the 1000th time, I've proven to be a LOT smarter than you. Anyone who' thinks" That I didn't check on this stuff thoroughly is an even bigger fool than I thought you were, altho that seems impossible.

And what makes you think that she would care about the minuscule amount of "property" that you "provided"?

actually, the bank and the loan holder own the house. if her name is on the mortgage, you might want to go read the documents closely. The Bank owns the house. If the mortgage defaults, they get to keep it and sell it how they want. The bank lent the money to the person whose name is on the loan. That person owns the equity in the house.

If you're joint tenants in common, or something else - would need to see what the wording is on the loan, you may - emphasis on may have a option to pick up the loan, at the bank's discretion. I suspect they would not look favorably on your lack of employment and other history. I hope you've got a good credit rating.

If not, if wifey goes, you could lose everything. I hope you did whatever it is you think you did, with a good attorney. You know the bank has a bunch of good attorneys.
