they are only 40 years behind me.
and 5x as expensive as it should be. All you need for this sort of performance is either a 38 Casull, 9x25 Dillion, 460 or 10mm barrel for a Commander. Thumps big hogks really well.

Seriously - there is no magic bullet or magic caliber that will make you invincible. A good caliber, loaded with a good bullet, will do a good job.
And ammo for the .38 Casull isn't available anymore, unless you find an old stash in a widow's barn somewhere.
(And you complain that THEY are the ones 40 years behind..?)
Simply put, a new hammer will not turn a framing carpenter into a master craftsman; so it certainly won't turn a non-carpenter into a master craftsman. And people who don't even own hammers can't really be taken seriously when they pontificate about things that come to them in their master-craftsman daydreams.
