All you need for this sort of performance is either a 38 Casull, 9x25 Dillion, 460 or 10mm barrel for a Commander. Thumps big hogks really well. |

I invented a paper-patched bottleneck minie-ball epoxy cartridge to be shot out of an etch-a-sketch back on August 29th, 1952 and never got credit for it. Seriously - there is no magic bullet or magic caliber that will make you invincible. A good caliber, loaded with a good bullet, will do a good job. Quote:

And ammo for the .38 Casull isn't available anymore, unless you find an old stash in a widow's barn somewhere. (And you complain that THEY are the ones 40 years behind..?) Simply put, a new hammer will not turn a framing carpenter into a master craftsman; so it certainly won't turn a non-carpenter into a master craftsman. And people who don't even own hammers can't really be taken seriously when they pontificate about things that come to them in their master-craftsman daydreams. | ||

it's only fair they're 40 years behind you on this, as you're 40 years behind on long-distance shooting. I'm more of it's the rifleman and not the rifle kind of guy, but that's me. People have been experimenting with bullet design and construction since the first gun was ever invented. In the end, physics always wins. This is not to say there aren't good ideas, but sometimes a good idea isn't enough to change what's been proven to work. |

Yeah I think most here are 40+ years behind Melvin in felony charges and convictions. Not holding that against him but learning from life and not repeating errors...well. |

Melvin more or less, admits that he is retarded, we acknowledge that in a SHTF scenario Melvin's life expectancy wouldn't be longer than one of his 1/2 day "exercises". No need to try and explain reality to him.

I noticed a post on another Gun Forum about "the worthless .45 1911 and the "great .460 Rowland". Sure enough it was our old boy, poor punctuation and as insulting as ever. Same BS on the same subject in multiple post's just like he does here, post count you know. Banned at post 34. Great job Melvin!
