In a knee jerk reaction to the terrible shootings in Nova Scotia the Government has banned 1500 types of "Assault Rifles." Two year grace period to get rid of your guns or sell them to the government. RCMP Chief say's between 70 to 90% of all guns used in crime come from illegal smuggling from the U.S.

Tell me about it, I feel the pain. We have a closet communist for a Prime Minister and a political bag licker for a Minister of Safety. While all AR 15's up here are registered, you will have to turn them in within the next 2 years unless we have a change of government. On the side of reality we can look at what New Zealanders did in the last 2 years. Their law abiding shooters also were also screwed regarding registered firearms. BUT only 13-17% of law abiding gun owners complied with the regulations to turn it rifles that were previously non registered. I believe we will see that up here in Canada.

Melvin, you have no idea the number of firearms my wife and I own combined. I just updated my "insurance book" so my wife knows the value of the collection we have. The value of my portion is over $36,000.00. The government has currently banned 1 of the firearms I own. Their program for a "buy back" is supposed to take 2 years. A lot in politics can take place in 2 years. Mind you I know people with 6 or more AR's and they must be feeling exceptionally bad. If we have a change in government in the next 24 months the opposition has vowed to repeal this law.

Melvin, for once you are correct, anti gunners are the same around the world. You give them an inch and they demand 5 miles. No amount of logic is ever going to get these disfunctional human beings to ever change their minds. They will go to their graves thinking that they have the right to run other peoples lives. On the positive side, since the ranges up here reopened again on 05 May, I'm absolutely positive that I have gotten more time behind the trigger practicing and doing load development for 3 rifles that I bought over the winter, than Melvin has! Also Melvin, my wife and I managed to shoot 1 match this month, held while paying attention to all local Covid 19 regulations, and we are shooting another on the 30th of May. How many matches have you shot lately Melvin? How many has "wifey" shot? Last edited by Garand; 05-23-2020 at 07:30 AM. |
