Too bad Patriot Network is long gone.

There was some "classic Gun Kid" and uncensored responses on there.

But yeah things have generally mellowed between us. Although I admit sometimes I slip into old habits where old Melvin is concerned.

I honestly like interaction with Melvin. Back in the late '90's when he ran the "Bugout Board", he was really into his fantasy life. Every stupid comment he made, generally started a conversation that expressed a number of good ideas, except from Melvin. His bad ideas always got you to think and research more in depth of the problem at hand.

Discussion is always a good thing. I tell my team: none of us are as smart as all of us...

True,. and I just realized that the handful of us that used to be on Patriot Network have known each other online for around 20years! Talk about time flying.

I think that age and his physical health problems have finally woken up some segment of reality in his mind.

Some of the older posts out there are both hilarious and disturbing. But, at least the more recent stuff seems innocuous.

Patriot Network, Frugal Squirrel, and some others. Interesting to think that the Y2K runup was 20+ years ago...

No, I remember them. He was in a particularly disgusting posting period about murdering and then eating lone individuals or Families. He was completely off his rocker. It was about the time he was also discussing in detail the torture and killing of Dog's. That still seeps through at times.

Could be, with him you never know.

But considering who he was married to around that time can you blame him?

Sometimes I wonder what happened to Hollow Base , Ice Pirate, Four Deuce, Rika, Hardball, Magnum 88C, Stillwater, Lake Monster and let's not forget "!"-Blain anmd his reptoids from the Hollow Earth.(Think V TV series but from inner space rather than outer space.)

Oh dear lord I forget one very important name. Melvin's dearest and best internet pal-JJ . Please note very heavy sarcasm about that description.

In fact when JJ was not online Melvin missed him so much he'd pretend everyone else there was JJ.

1911sr used to be on Assault Web and on the SwissRifle forums but I've not been to either in a very long time.
I figured she got burned out on the internet drama and morons like Melvin hitting on her.

The same with Rika and considering her skill set she could maybe manage to get online. Probably just doesn't want to deal with the same drama either.
And I imagine visiting US gun sites ain't too kosher over seas in some places.

I did wonder about RIKA. Very active poster and knowledgeable. One day she was just gone. I thought something traumatic happened.

She made a posting about getting a job overseas, would have to read back too many years to find it. She sure gave old Mel hell!
