I noticed the cap covering the suppressor threads on one of my TX22 was loose, might be something to watch is you own one. Also Winchester White box 230 Grain .45 ACP gave me a couple of poofs not healthy BANG's out of my G21. The rounds impacted about three inches low from point of aim. Kind of spooky.

Sold three more guns; an AR carbine, a JRC takedown carbine and Kahr CM9, along with ammo, magazines, the JRC's backpack, etc. All sold quite cheap, to people I know and care about.

Makes four guns sold this month, and following my recent practice of "sell two or three and buy one" plan to order a CMMG Resolute 9mm to accompany the Banshee that I've come to like so much.

That's not good. Other than their 'BEB' loadings being consistently slow & weak, I've had good luck with the white box stuff for decades. Wonder if it was just a one-time fluke or if they're letting quality control slide, in an effort to maximize production output during these panic times. Was it recently bought stuff?

I don't know the WW White box used to be the gold standard for store bought FMJ but now I'm beginning to have my doubts. I've had accuracy issues with it in .45ACP in the past and 9mm recently. At first I thought it was me being out of practice or the pistols fault. But now having my doubts.
Dang near makes me think about going back to reloading 9mm.

Pretty sure I bought it last December when the Hellcat was purchased, but I've bought so much ammunition in the last year I'm not sure. I'm going to shoot some more 9MM and .45 today specifically WWB.

Well I repaired and test fired the AR and the Glock
today. So far so good.
I also rezeroed my Mossberg 144 for close range as I've got some problem opossum that need to be popped.

kinda been a weird week for me. I posted the little device I made for stopping your sling from sliding off your shoulder while wearing a backpack on another site, and get slammed with people wanting to buy them. I've sold 60 of them so far...

I just designed and made them on a whim for myself...

Heading to the range in a few minute, do the weekly retired guy get together and later this evening I have a safety course to take at the new club I'm joining about 90 minutes south of home. They have the only ranges that go out to 600 yards in the south part of the province.

Tried to have our LGS order the Resolute for me, but all three versions (100, 200, and 300 series) are out of stock with no known availability date. But apparently the issue is lowers - they allegedly have uppers for all of them in stock - so I had the LGS cancel the standby order and just mail-ordered the Resolute upper direct form CMMG. I figure I'll use it on the lower of my backup-backup gun; it has the proprietary suppressor mount for the old M4-2000 and I rarely use it.

If the Resolute is as good as the Banshee, I'll be very happy with it.

Replaced the broken firing pin in my AR22 pistol this weekend. Have had the replacements for a couple weeks, but just got around to fixing it.

Also put up a couple pistol magazine holders; $16 for a two-pack on amazon. Itís an easy, neat way to store loaded magazines. Made for glock, but work for M&P as well, holding three mags.

Like them well enough that I was thinking about ordering a couple more; but then my oldest son came to visit Sunday and when he saw those he said, "Huh. That should be easy; hang on", and pulled out his phone. I had no idea what he was talking about until thirty seconds later he showed me a modelling diagram of an almost identical unit on some 3D printing site. So he's going to print us both some more. He said they'd take around twelve to fifteen cents each in material.

The remainder of the Winchester White Box .45 ACP fired with no problems as did another box of .45 and two boxes of 9mm. just a flukey two rounds. I bought a S&W Compact in .22. Plenty of .22 ammunition around with the exception being CCI. I'm going to do a bit of a shoot off with this bunch.

Took three more guns to put on consignment; a subcompact 9mm, a Freedom Arms "Casull's Improvement" .22LR mini-revolver, and a cheapy .32acp Davis Derringer. Won't get a lot for them, but wouldn't get anything out of keeping them either.

Finally did my Form-1 efile, a month after getting the fingerprint cards done. It's just been crazy busy at work & home both and it got put on the back burner until today. Got it submitted & paid, now am waiting on the email to come in so I can attach the fingerprint cards & get them mailed to the atf and give the sheriff his copies of the atf ppwk as well.

Spent 2 days this week working with 5 long guns in 5 different calibers doing load development. Time to spend a couple of days now, cleaning guns & brass & analyzing the results.

Very nice week. Spent one afternoon at a public range with my best Friend and his grown Son shooting a large variety of guns. It's an open range, free of course, and has pistol, shotgun, and rifle lanes at 50 feet, 50, 100, and 200 yards. My old Colt SP-1 Carbine, Yugoslavian SKS, M-1 Garand, and two .22 Mossberg rifles got a workout. My pistols were the new CZ Compact, Hellcat, 97b, Colt .45 Series 70, TX22, S&W .22 Compact and .22 Kadet Kit on a CZ 75 frame. My Guests brought a Yugoslavian SKS, an Anderson AR-15, a M1917 Enfield, and two Ruger 10/22's. Handguns were a Glock 17, BERSA 9MM Compact, Taurus G2C, Colt .45 1991, Ruger SR22 and a Colt Trooper .357 four inch. The range was empty except for us, which is usual. We had a lot of fun swapping guns around and just catching up. Interesting was that there wasn't a single malfunction on any firearm. The Anderson AR rifle was from a line I am not familiar with. It had an inexpensive Tru Glo sight on it that worked very well at the 100 and 200 yard ranges. Seemed like a solid rifle to me. I especially liked the BERSA 9 Compact. Had I not already had enough 9 MM's I would be looking for one. The much maligned Taurus G2C performed well and it's an accurate gun also.

I finally got a notice from the State that I was invited to a LEOSA Qualification shoot next month about half way across the State. Road trip time. Handgun availability has picked up some with S&W, Ruger, and Kimber guns being available. Ammunition? NO. A big box store had CCI Blazer in a plastic ammunition box of 1050 rounds of .22 for $69.95. I bought three which I don't need, but you never know. We're still not eating out, which we miss, but sign of the times. We mask whenever we go out to shop. I've about given up on the Hellcat IWB carry, I don't like it. Too slow and uncomfortable. Re-holstering is impossible. I really like the gun, but not that means of carry.

Sold/traded a bunch of ammo that I didn't need, picking up another levergun and a little cash in the process.

Also gave away some ammo to a couple employees. I've made a practice for 20+ years now of keeping a small amount of ammo on hand in calibers that family members shoot, even if I don't use the caliber myself. One of our techs said something today about picking up some .30-30 ammo and it reminded me about some .30-30 and .30-06 I had put back for a family member who passed away last year. It wasn't premium stuff, just Academy's Monarch brand, low-end softpoint stuff.

There was seven boxes of .30-30 and five of .30-06; neither he nor his dad shoot 30-06, but the son in law of our office manager does, so she got the 30-06 stuff to pass on to him.

Spent probably the last warm day this year on the range doing load development for my .30/30. Took a while to prep for the day but I managed to get 324 rds down range. Unfortunately my .30/30's are not fond of IMR 4227 & cast bullets. Back to the drawing board come spring.

We had a night out "Dinner" which consisted of going through a Portillo's and meeting my Wife's Sister and Brother in Law and having a no contact meal with them. Not our usual Saturday Night dine out. I played around with the Ruger Carbine on the 100 Yard range and shot the little PT92 just because we were discussing the little .22's. It worked fine with Stingers and some Gold Aquila but wouldn't work with Federal Standard Velocity. I'm really shaking my head when I think how I thought this little bugger was an adequate SD gun. With the LCP's and especially the Hellcat there is no need for the short barreled .22's that I can think of. Still no sign of 9MM or .45 on the shelves of any store. I couldn't find one box of .30/06 either. The clerk at Cabela's told me they were out of .30/30 and .270 also. Deer season coming up too! We got a a Yellow Jacket infestation that built a nest out side of out fireplace. I got nailed twice and called in the pro's to deal with it. The joy's of living in the woods.
