my thanks to garand

next year, we'll be living near Bellingham, WA and she'll be nursing in White Rock, Canada. She'll have to commute a bit, and if something happens, I'll be unable to (legally) go to her aid, but it sure looks like there's twice as much salary, counting bonuses, 2x overtime, etc. Be able to buy my private bill a lot faster. I'll borrow the needed 100k at 10%, no need to care, cause once I get the Title II licence, I"ll be grossing 200k per year, minimum.

Terry G 07-31-2016 03:01 PM

Yawn...zzzzz.

John in AR 07-31-2016 03:16 PM

What kind of license?

Terry G 07-31-2016 03:34 PM

I'm sure, especially in today's climate, some legislator is going to sponsor a private bill to restore Melvin's (multiple felonies) firearm's rights. Every couple of month's Melvin trots out some theory about getting rich/legally owning guns. He started it around 2002. He has since been convicted and incarcerated on another felony. He either enjoys torturing himself or just get's pleasure from lying.

justme 07-31-2016 03:50 PM

silencer and mg making license, of course.

justme 07-31-2016 03:52 PM

you can sell cans to anyone who has a form 1 tax stamp, but mg's can be made for and sold to only the miltary, cops and Class III dealers. Class III is $500 a year, with limitations on travel. Title II is 3k$ per year, and no limitations on travel, legal in states that don't allow silencers, etc. title II is a money making machine, man.

John in AR 07-31-2016 04:06 PM

Can you be in the possession of firearms, having past felony convictions?

justme 07-31-2016 05:09 PM

that's what the private bill is about.

every time they are passing some bill that they KNOW the prez is going to sign,, like a budget bill, c span shows all the congress critters attaching "private bills', to it. and when it passes, it ALL passes, as an act of congress, the law of the land. since all are doing it, none will question another doing it. it's how they rake in big bucks and pay off favors done for them. The price I was quoted for my rights restoration was 1/4 milll and it had to be the right guy at the right time, leaving public service, etc. So I asked "would half a mill get 10 such bills" and the answer was "almost certainly". So I find 9 guys who want RR bad enough to pay 55k each, and mine costs 5k. :-)

BigBassMan 07-31-2016 06:35 PM

Fantasyland
Name one person that has been able to do that.

So as much as you bitch & cuss about corrupt politicians and bureaucrats, and as often as you talk about wanting to kill corrupt politicians and bureaucrats, you now claim to be actively shopping for corrupt politicians to bribe.

That's either false which makes you a liar, or it's true which makes you a hypocrite. Since hypocrites are inherently either wannabe-tyrants or cowards, that gives us three possible options based on your claim here - liar, wannabe-tyrant, or coward.

Which are you?

justme 07-31-2016 07:55 PM

It's not a bribe if it's made to a lobbyist. you can't talk directly to the politician, but there's a legal way to do it. I didn't set up the system, you piece of shyte. So what's your beef, anyway? Just cause Ive proven you a liar 30-40x. ? :-) In 1800 joe, who had ever seen an electric light, hmm? i dont have to invent this system, I just have to know how to use it. Just cause YOU don't know how does not mean that others don't.

John in AR 07-31-2016 08:17 PM
...I didn't set up the system, you piece of shyte. So what's your beef, anyway? Just cause Ive proven you a liar 30-40x. ?...
List one lie on my part. Ever. You have more than 12 years and more than 3,000 posts on my part to choose from. So show these dozens of lies you've "proven" that I've told. If you can't (and you can't) then it inherently defines you as a liar, doesn't it...

As far as "what's my beef", it's simple. I have low tolerance for liars, corrupt politicians, and hypocrites. You know, pretty much every character in the story you told above...

So again, show all these lies I've supposedly told, or bite me.

Canadian nurses make 2/3 of what American nurses make and with 1 year of training (college) the only thing she would be qualified for is either a nursing assistant or a licensed practical nurse, which qualifies her to change bed pans. Given the shortage of nursing jobs in Canada right now, good luck. I have a wife and 2 step daughters that are fully qualified RN's and their qualifications took a minimum of 4 years of university. Next fantasy.

justme 08-01-2016 03:33 AM

my error, john, thought it was garand or terry, but since you've revealed here your basic snake in the grass attitude, (which all cops have, or they'd not take the job) I'll put you into the same category as they are sequested. Thanks for the warning.

justme 08-01-2016 03:38 AM

well then, you're a liar (as we all know) garand, cause you just got done saying US pays nurse shyte. So which is it?

justme 08-01-2016 03:44 AM

once again, garand is proven to be a liar and ignorant of the FACTS.

any sane man would get tired of being shown to be a fool, but he and terry just love it, apparently

there's reasons why I picked a 20-something, ya know. She can handle 90 hour work weeks. I handled them myself, when I was trucking, for a year in 2001. A beautiful smart one, boys.. I saved her entire family from disaster the past year, putting her and her sis thru school, putting her daughter into English classes, etc. It cost me over 20k total, by the time I got her into school here. It's costing me $600 a month as I write this, for the next year, then her younger sis will support the remainder of the family, along with the store that I opened for her mom, and our daughter will be here with us. A year after that, the sis will be here, paying me room, board, and a fee for what I teach her.

once again, garand is proven unable to read. she got 3 semesters of college in phills. she'll get 3 semesters here in US, making her eligible to sit for the RN exam, dumbass. Which is what I've said all along.

"Snake in the grass" in what way? I repeated your own words, and pointed out that compared to your (other) own words regarding corrupt politicians and JBT's, that your words are undeniably inconsistent. If that's not true, correct me. If it is true, then so be it.

And no big personality-reveal here; I'm the same person I've been since joining here 12 years ago, and for that matter the same person since you & I first interacted in the 1990's; don't recall if that was back at PN, Frugal's or where specifically.

What sneaky/snaky thing(s) have I done? You're the one simultaneously talking about bribing bureaucrats and killing bureaucrats.

I've not been a cop in years, but for all your talk of black-belts and top-gun-hand status, it was "cops" that bested you all those times wasn't it... (Well, cops and one meter maid - and "meter maid" is your term, not mine.)
...the guy that the town was mostly using as a meter maid did have full arrest powers...
If you don't mind a little honest, unemotional advice - abandon the (sneaky/snaky) get-rich-quick schemes that pop up every month or two, get a normal job, find a hobby that gives you genuine enjoyment, and have a pleasant life with your family. That's worth a lot if a person's willing to relax, decompress, and simply have a decent life. If a person is willing to simply work calmly toward a goal, it doesn't require a sudden influx of money and it doesn't take constant ego-fondling.

Garand 08-01-2016 07:56 AM

Well Melvin, she might be able to pass her boards in the US but she won't have the qualifications for Canada. That is why nurses go south looking for jobs, not the other way around. As for the newspaper article, they said that the average qualified RN in Canada makes $73,000 (Cdn) and change, ever tried converting that to US dollars? My wife is the head nurse in dialysis and barely makes over 6 figures and she has 15 years as a qualified RN & spent 18 years as a Chiropractor before she retired and came back to nursing. FACTS, Melvin, try dealing in facts not fantasy. Also she hasn't graduated yet, she doesn't have a job yet, when the dream turns into facts through hard work, then brag about it.

That's what; mid-$50,000's USD? That could be good or bad in the US, depending on where you live. In Manhattan, you'd probably be hungry at that income. In rural arkansas, it's above average. I make ok money for arkansas, but I'd be poor in some other places. To us it's worth it to be in an area that we love, near people that we love.

Value of money is directly linked to location. My brother has a relative who's a retired public school teacher from California - when he retired & moved to Arkansas, his public-school teacher's pension bought him a house on a golf course.
