my older student has foot-drop

he raises his foot so high with each step that it's ridiculous. I showed him a $40 massager from Wally's. Hes bought one and is using it on his legs, so maybe the problem can be corrected. He's not going far in this stuff if he cant.
Raising your foot more than an inch or so off the ground to take a step is wasted movement/time. and a big threat to your balance if you are attacked in mid-step. The new student is progressing 4-5x as fast, but is only 30 yo, which makes a big difference. Is Diabetic, tho, so have to watch out for that.

So what style of martial arts do you teach? What association are you registered as a black belt with? Anyone can claim to be a black belt, that's one of the reasons the various associations have registries.

I'm registered with two, one for Kempo, and one for Kuntao Silat.

should be a no-brainer to look you up.

Are you saying you're so out of touch as a martial artist that you qualify as a relic?

it was called Moo Duk Kwan in Korea, now it's called Tang Soo Do. Chuck teaches it whatever Van Damm does, chuck always does much better

Moo Duk Kwan? So the association will have a record of your belt then?
