I've been a pretty steady customer and I was surprised when I got the e-mail that no more Garands except for the sniper models are on hand to be sold. Had to happen someday. I'm glad I got my two. Still have ammo.

ran out of suckers who will pay $1000+ for a $300 rifle, so no buyers at cmp level, either.

FWIW, I paid $450.00 and $550.00 and they are worth every penny. I wish I had bought more.

Up here in Canada a Garand that is still in pretty good shape is gonna cost you at least $1,400 (Cdn). Be happy with the lower prices you are lucky to have.

The Civilian Marksmanship Program made surplus rifles available to the public at a fraction of the cost in the retail market. I had to jump through some minor hoops, but worth it. Alas, the '03 Sprinfields, the the Enfields, and now the M-1 Garands are gone. I'm still buying .30/06 ammunition on clips though!
