sawed off double

We can buy them legally as non restricted firearms here in Canada. They are manufactured that way, none of your silly tax stamp stuff

As big a western-movie fan as I am, I've never really wanted a sawed-off double barrel. I like my guns to be either practical or fun, and those never struck me as either one.
I did have a single-shot 12 gauge with the barrel shortened to 18 1/2" a long time ago, but it never was much fun or practical either. (It was the 70's and I was young enough to think it was cool, for no rational reason...)

I can see one being fun in 410, with a pistol grip, for amusing novice shooters, but it's way impractical, legally, and financially. I used a similar vid, when wifey was still in Asia, to demo the difference between shotgun and rifle. At that point, she'd never even laid eyes on either one (that she recalled).
When I was in her country, I'd see lots of "rent a cops" carrying empty .38 revolvers, or pistol grips pump 12's, (probably also without ammo) guarding banks and the like. Their bosses are far more worried about them firing un-controled rds, or getting their guns taken by gang bangers, than they are about the "cops" firing effective shots. :-)

I DO like a good, practical O/U ,set up for " utility, home defense; camp usage". Patterning always worked better for me than a side by side. IIRC,Stoeger still has a decent one in their catalog.
I'm not a shotgunner by default, but they do have some uses.

So do diamond rings, but I only needed the one. :-) If I was to buy a shotgun, it would have tobe either a $20 ga single shot, cause I could buy it used for $70 from a private party, with a recoil pad already on it, , or because it was a $300 gas op auto, also 20 ga. Either would only be considered because wifey insisted on learning to shoot skeet, etc. Which she is in no position to be arguing for, for a while yet. :-)
