i hit a running pheasant, .38 snub, me running
1 handed point shot, loaded with upside down hollowbased wadcutters. :-) It was definitely not that pheasant's day. I had 3 witnesses, my crew of grain-bin builders, out of Modesto, ILL, 1974. I'd hit him (on the ground) with a 12 ga M1100, at 30 yds or so, but he flew back over me, then came down and ran. I gave chase, and at first was gaining on him, but then I was running out of gas and we had to go on, work truck stopped on a back road, etc. So I gave him the "hail mary" shot and it hit him center chest.
