pocket gun can be held in hand, up sleeve

of your other arm. Sitting or standing there, quite innocent looking and then, once you've decided to fire, BANG is only 1/4 second away, for a one handed hip shot and a 2 handed, eye level shot is only 1/2 second away. You can sidestep as you do the latter, in that same 1/2 second, defeating a guy who's got a gun pointed at you, at 10 ft or so, IF you are truly skilled and determined. However, plan on needing multiple hits and possibly needing a brain hit, after your chest hits have messed him up a bit. Especially if your pocket gun only offers 300 ft lbs or less per hit. and even more so if its velocity is too low for reliable expansion of a jhp in animals (ie, 1200 fps in .36 bores). what it does in jello is irrelevant.

the sort of pocket load I recommend, 2 wound tracks with each hit, mach II advantage and 500 ft lbs per hit, gives you a better chance of messing up a man, even with a gut hit, than some feeble thing, like a .38 or 380. 200 ft lbs and no expansion. That aint much of a lick.
