remington. Wifey may end up working out with one in 12 ga, if she chooses to pursue birds. she likes the working dogs, so this could happen. i enjoy skeet with a 20 ga 1100. you have to be EXTREMELY fast on the doubles, or the second bird gets beyond your effective range.

How do you enjoy skeet? Shotguns are loud, recoil a lot, and you can't fit a .22 unit or suppressor to one. You would also go to jail, go directly to jail, if caught on a skeet shooting range.

Frankly, my only experience with the Remington 1100 was back during the '80's. We had a couple on the EOD team I was on at that time. I really wasn't that impressed with them. I thought cleaning them was a pain and I found them ammunition sensitive to light loads. Personal preference really, based on personal experience.

Based on my time in the Middle East, using them to whittle down feral dog packs that patrolled our camp at night, I'm much happier served by a good pump.
