Don’t know if it’s everywhere, but I stumbled across Winchester white box 115 fmj for $4.63 a box at WW in Little Rock today. Will definitely be checking some more stores in the next couple days. |

John, are you talking Wal-Mart or what? $9.63 per hundred here.

Yes, a Walmart in Little Rock. Regular Winchester "USA" brand 115 fmj 50-round box. They had nine boxes @ $4.63 ("had"... ). For whatever reason, the 100-pack of the same USA stuff was $11.98, and the Remington UMC 100-pack was $15-something.I checked another store, and theirs was at $6-something, so it may have been a fluke. FWIW, your store's $9.63 a hundred is still less than $100 a thousand. If it were me, the way ammo prices have been going in the last couple months, I'd pick up some of that as well. Ammo prices have been getting just stupid lately; I'm working on a dept purchase now, because .223 stuff has gone thru the roof this year. |

It's good, cheap ammunition, but Wal-Mart can be such a pain to deal with. The clerks don't know anything, and I feel silly going through the "No, it's pistol ammunition, not rifle. Right there, by your hand, No, higher, in the white box with the red writing." Well, you know what I mean. Or the .22 buy. "Is the for a rifle or a handgun?" I shoot it in both, "Well, I need to see your drivers license then." You can't even get angry with them. No training, treated for the most part poorly, and humiliated by management and customers. Making 70 year olds do the Wal-Mart cheer, God help us.
