A Super Collector as the media calls me

Howdy from the southern part of the US. The news media recently said that any one owning more than five guns would be considered a super collector. Well, I am way past that amount and buying all I can.

While not saying I am old, when I was born the Dead Sea was not even sick.

Been buying guns for about 50 years, am an active shooter, taught the use of the 1911 in the Army back in the mid 60's and still carry one daily for both work duty and pleasure. If I have my pants on, my 1911 is on my side. You may not can always see it but it is always there.

I reconstruct accident & crime scenes in my work and am accepted as an expert in court trials in several areas, some of which involve firearms.

Other than the above, I am a very boring, opinionated, fat guy that enjoys guns.

my wife currently has 3 guns, and in a couple of years, will add at least 3 more (.45 lw commander, 20 ga pump, 3006 auto. Then, when she starts teaching this stuff, she'll have to get a glock, a Sig, a revolver, a Kahr, maybe even a single action revolver and a lever action, so the dummies dont feel left out.

I thought she was going to be a Nurse. Where is she going to train to be an instructor? What will her certification be? NRA? A private academy? I had years of firearms experience before I was selected for Firearms Instructor Training. It's not just being a good shot, you know. You have to be able to teach. (I thought you said wifey had a Daisy BB gun and an airsoft. Now she has three real guns?

I ccw'd a 1911 govt model for several years, wore it openly for a year in Korea, and many days for practice and match shooting, but the alloy commander is a lot more to the point for ccw. I gave up on the behind the hip baloney nearly 30 years ago. It is too easily spotted when you sit down, too easily bumped on cars, door frames, or people on elevators, awkward to draw from (under a shirt) with a heavy coat, need a pocket gun, and the gm is no pocket gun. wearing the 1911 in front of the hip or at the navel, you value a shorter gun when you sit down, guaranteed! :)
