Hey stupid, please show me where I stated that a 5.56mm would bounce off someone at 425 yards? Unlike you, Melvin I shoot long range competition out to 500-600 yards. Admittedly I wish I had more time for long range, but I at least have knowledge what a bullet is capable of doing at the distances that I do shoot at.
I've asked in the past and got the response only of "he (you, Garand) has repeatedly stated as much". Never got any instance of it; just a generic, baseless "he really, really did", basically.
John - if garand or anyone ever did say such a thing, please link to some instances of it. You're making claims that someone made a statement in writing, so please show us an example of this writing. If you can, great. If you can't, then that's its own answer as well, isn't it?
why care? anything beyond 1/4 mile is pointless. Post was just to show the 308 fools that they do NOT have the advantage that they "think" that they have.
Depends all on the situation and circumstances Melvin. I realize that you don't think about these things in your fantasies!
