WOLFS!

I finally got close to a pack. A bit too close. Hiking a nice path to a high rock formation called "Logan's Rock". I noticed a couples piles of scat about twice the size of my 70 lb. Lab bitch's. A few miles further a herd of 4-5 Whitetail came boiling across the path and my Dog's hackles went straight up. I caught a flash of movement and about 30 to 40 yards to my right front I saw a light grey Timber Wolf skid to a stop with three or four of his pal's behind him. My Dog let out a real loud bark and Mr. Wolf and friends departed post haste. My 9MM didn't "appear" in my hand, but it got there quick enough. I'm going to quit being lazy and start carrying one of my AR's when I trek rarely used trails. A 110 lb. Wolf would make mincemeat out of my Labrador in short order, let alone a pack.

Or you could carry the fierce pocket nine with dremeled an hacksawen bullets an they would run an hide in their spider holes from fear at the thought of it.
6in. 44 Mag would do.

I'd go with the .44 magnum suggestion!

it's spelled "wolves", dumbass. quite a few domestic dogs are larger, some are trained to attack people, and are unafraid of gunfire, clubs, etc. but you consider a .38 snub to be plenty for those, so why bother with a .44 for wolves?

wow, 3 fatalities in 50 years, by wolves in the US, when there's an average of 25 fatalities EACH year, by domestic dogs and millions of attacks by same, half a million or more per year serious enough to require medical attention.

Really, you of all people getting onto someone about creative spelling?

If you'd be civil, we'd be nice and wouldn't repeatedly point out your errors and mistakes. At least I would; I can't guarantee that others would, but I can pretty much guarantee that if you don't, they won't either.

bs, they've never shown the slightest such inclination. quite the contrary. I'd be SO happy to meet any of you for a little demo of the skills you are SO sure that I lack. But I know that you'd snitch me out in a heartbeat, so you know you're safe talking your bs. But SOMEBODY here knows gd well how skilled I was, and he also knows I'd NEVER let those skills degrade much.

Quit your lying and being a full fledged jerk and see how it goes for you. Stop being the stereotypical convict.

No snitching possible if you do it with airsoft or pellet gun, as you've so often claimed are adequate. Lying dolt.

Good to see you finally acknowledging the past-tense of your reality. Much like your gun prowess, I was very heavy into shaolin kung-fu, and somewhat less so into tae kwon do. Tom Seabourne, two-time heavyweight champion and PanAmerican champion, is a person who personally trained me and with whom I used to regularly spar - in the previous century.

Thing is, I'm not too much of a coward to admit that I no longer have that same level of skill. I know that I don't, and can admit it; you simply refuse to admit that you don't or document that you do; either one. Insecure dolt.

FWIW,I appreciate and like the wild canines(fox, coyote, wolves);but liking them means giving them a wide berth where possible. No need to have an " incident/response" escalation loop... I HAVE been around coy and wolf dog hybrids/rescued pure examples of the same that had managed to interact with people/dogs and NOT have anything horrible or tragic occur.....but in my city-guy/pavement ape opinion;those are exceptions.
I prefer to see them thrive on their own without the need to kill one or more of them... they're just too" dog-like" for me to generally WANT them dead.

Agree completely, Gripper. I love the fact they are in the wild and that I can (rarely)see them. It would have to be an attack before I would shoot.
gripper and FordPrefect like this.
