REAL pocket shot is a .45 Commander, supervels
so called 190 gr (i weighed one, the actual weight was 185 grs) at 1000 fps, which I managed to fire while the gun was in the right front pocket of my coveralls. SOB powderburned my thigh, tore a big hole in the pocket, was hanging half out of it, ejected case caught in the slide. Big chunk blown off of the bottom of my field jacket. .45 hole in the floor about 1/2" to the right of my right foot. I was tearing down a wall with a crowbar, and the crook of it caught on a plaster lath. I yanked on it and the crook went right between that shorty grip safety tang and the burr hammer, forcing the safety and half cock.
I wrote to Cooper about this and said " that's enough to make a guy go DA". He replied. "yes, that CAN be done, but DA is not the answer". Perhaps more careful use of the crowbar?" :-)
