model 41

Picked up a S&W model 41 the other day. First year, very low number. About a 90% gun, has not been used in fifteen years. 5 1/2 in. barrel. Going to find another barrel an put a red dot sight on it. Takes about two seconds to change barrels.
Will be hard to find ammo since Terry bought it all!

I've never had one of those; never even fired on as far as I recall. But they've always had a phenomenal reputation for quality. I remember one gun writer referring to them as 'the sig 210 of rimfires'. If anywhere near true, that's high praise indeed.

Very accurate .22's. I was lucky enough to shoot a friend's a couple of times. As I recall it was not ammunition sensitive which is fairly rare in target quality gun's. Oh, and Big Bass Man, it's CABELA'S , order some ammo and quit making me feel bad.

I don't plan on shooting it to need any more ammo, just run a few mags thru it an put it away. Rather shoot centerfire.
