1st match I held in Litchfield, SA revolver guy

tried. there was 3 stages where he was handicapped badly. a pair were draw and hit each of 3 silo's twice each, and one that was 5 shots, reload, 5 more. all at 10 yds, 4 seconds for each of the first 2, 10 seconds for the reload stage. I showed him how to use the weak hand thumb, and not lose many points, but he insisted on fanning the hammer of his .30 C Blackhawk. He got ZERO hits. He also tried to just one arm shoot the 2.5 second draw and hit stage, at 25 yds (10 shots, 1 per draw) and only got a couple of hits. He never came to another match. Got a severe shock that day. :-)

So 40+ years ago, you beat an inexperienced shooter in a match where his firearm was designed for other styles of shooting. WOW, are you a legend in your own mind! He didn't come back probably because you acted like an ass, belittled him, didn't offer him any tips or encouragement. Great way to get an increase in match attendance!

Reconsider my last comment Terry, and tell me that is not the way Melvin would act.

Oh, I'm sure that's exactly how he would act. I can't see him arranging a match, though.

There's a lot of dead people that would disagree with that stupid statement. That is, if they were alive to disagree and hadn't been killed with something you say "might as well be airsoft".

Question - you're in someone else's house and suddenly need a gun for (whatever) serious purpose. There's two sitting there, both loaded.

This:

and this:

Which would you pick up in an emergency? Because if it matters to you, then you're demonstrating the untruth of your statement that they 'might as well be the same'. If it DOESN'T matter to you, you're demonstrating that you've had either too many or too few drugs today.

Which is it - are you lying, or are you off your meds?

how anybody could be so deluded, in modern times, I have no idea. But look how many are voting for a proven pos like the beech, so I really shouldn't be surprised at the level of stupidity in everything else, specifically including guns.

So in an emergency situation, you'd pick which? Or are they really the same to you in defensive capability?

Back online (I hope) after a few days of no internet.

Garand hit it on the head about Melvin's matches. I got five people to join up to shoot IPSC, they came 2 or 3 times an swore never again after listening to him yell an scream rant an rave like a madman at them about their equipment an how they knew nothing about anything. Two were police officers an 3 were friends that had more experience shooting than Melvin will ever have in his lifetime. All had 1911s but one wanted to try a wheelgun for fun

once Melvin flipped out over that. I still have contact with three of them (2 have passed away. an they still talk about how nutty he acted when somebody asked him a question. Lots of other people quit coming to his matches after the first time but were always at other matches. That includes some of his so called close friends that never want to hear from him again.
Melvin will start denying as usual an calling everyone punks or something but I have names.

I never once yelled at anyone at a match, ever, about anything, 150 matches all over the world. You're a liar. Did you take part in that conspiracy to send silenced guns to belize or not? Gary told me what happened.

What are you talking about ? Who is Gary? Only you come up with **** like that .
How come 5 people never came back to your matches?
Like talking to a brick wall the way you twist everything around. So **** you. I was talking about matches an you start talking about something else.
Then some conspiracy, must be thinking about jailbird friends. Better go somewhere an get off the drugs while you can.

150 matches in less than 4 years? I find that really hard to believe cause I am an international competitor and I'm pushing it at 25-27 matches a year, spending at least $ 8,000-10,000 a year in match and travel expenses. How many people actually attended these matches, 10? 12? 15?
