hadn't touched a gun in 7 years, could
still twirl a 1911, road agent reverse, etc, almost instantly with right hand, thumbing back the hammer or using the safety. Doing same left handed took a couple of minutes practice. Never did work at it much with left hand. that was 1997, Same thing, with airsoft, last year, after 5 years of not touching one. when you've worked at something as much as I did that, (mostly in korea, over a sleeping bag, on guard duty) your hands remember what to do. It's a lot harder with a ducktail grip safety, commander hammer and "bomar" sights on the gun, but can still be done.

I wonder how many of these injuries were due to a twirled gun being dropped on a toe..
