I have a Tactical Solutions dedicated .22 upper for my AR. Works great with black dog magazines and is a heck of a lot of fun for rimfire action matches.

.204 Ruger, FN5.7, 6.8SPC, .300Blackout, the "new" .30Rem., 7.62x39, 6.5Grendel just to name a few. Not to mention pistol calibers using snap in magwell adapters. |

Anything with the same case head dimentions, like 17 Remington, can be rebarreled and used. Others have gone to the extreme of modifying the breech face, so far as to use cut down 284 Win cases. A .450 American was built, 230 grs at 3000 fps, IIRC, for 4000 ft lbs. Stoner himself said that such a thing was not feasible, but it was done, successfully. HOw many rds it will stand up to, is another question,. 458 Socom, .50 Beowulf, ask at AR-15.com, man.
