run and get a longarm, why not just hit the invader with a lamp, etc? :-) Truth is, if he aint got a gun, he's not hard to handle without a gun, cause he's an idiot to be breaking into homes without one. If he DOES have a gun, he's going to empty TWO mags into you while you try to retrieve a longarm and bring it into play. The same CCW pistol that you rely upon outside your home will suffice just fine, if it, the ammo and YOU are waf. If those conditions are not met, a longarm aint going to help any. There's no reason for a non-cripple to not have a powerful load in the handgun, and not be able to get 5+ hits per second with it, on the chest at 10 ft. If you have time to run and get anything, body armor is what you'd better grab!

How long does it take you to get to your self defense gun?

Agree completely. The gun you have WITH you, is the only gun you have.

Depends on if my hand is occupied and so has to drop something before grabbing my gun.

Because a gun that isn't with your 'self', can't logically be considered a 'self-defense' gun. If it's a house-defense gun, it has to be in the house, if it's a self-defense gun, it by definition must be on myself.

Actually asking OP since he's handing out advice and judgment. Maybe he's got a concealed carry lamp.
Garand likes this.

I knew you were; just couldn't resist chiming in.

Doubt you'll get a response, and doubly doubt you'll get a civil one. May still be irritable from the airsoft quick-draw injuries...?

Fwiw, John - you've said in the past you couldn't post videos. You've said you now have the gun and the timer, and you obviously have internet access. No doubt you know someone with a simple phone camera, so with a free photobucket (or similar) account, you could do what you've said you would do.

Yet you still don't do it...
