fastest draw has been .20 second

which I've popped several times, with many in the low .20's, speed position, hand "hovering' just above the airsoft 1911 gun butt. Even with .20 second of "jumping" the start signal, still pretty fast. :-) The problem is that the timer is not a random start, as it should be. I got screwed on that part. but still, when my wife holds the timer and uses the "range officer" start variant, the times are sub .40 second, for a 1 handed hip point, hand hovering above the butt of the gun. If I start hands at sides, with her holding the timer, times run in the low .50's for a 1 handed hip shot. and if go to weaver, reliable chest hits at 5 yds, the times then run in the high .60's. not too bad for an old fart! :-)

I pretty much cut those times in half using a Colt SAA with a 7 1/2" barrel and my Dog holding the timer.

think I figured out why the times were in the .20's. The timer is so sensitive, (cause airsoft is so quiet) that it's stopping at the sound of my hand hitting the gun. So the real times for hand hover, hip point, are in the .40's, wife starting the timer. Still not bad. that's for the hand=hover start and a hip shot.

gotta sew some suede leather on the back of the kydex rig. Stuff's damned uncomfortable when worn IWB

hand to gun movement, from hands at sides, adds about .10 second, and so does going to the weaver stance for a 2 handed point shot.

When you get hurt using airsoft, don't you think t is time to give it up for maybe golf or ping pong?

Of course. somebody who has no idea what's involved with a fast draw wouldn't understand. To post those kinds of times, your hand has to be REALLY moving and the fingers "claw" at the gun.

Jerry cavanaugh taught the state police their hand to hand, nightstick and shooting for many years. He said one of his cops had to draw from that crossdraw shiny black flap holster that they used in the 70's, and didn't have his left hand free to get the holster flap clear of the gun. He told his fellow cops, a bit later, that he had no idea how he'd gotten the gun out of the rig in time. They all laughed, cause his holster had claw marks all up the side of it. :-) When I turn the speed all the way on, that's what's occurring with every draw. If your head was between my gun hand and the gun, you'd probably get a skull fracture.

gettting all kinds of false readings now. over 2 seconds for the second shot of a split, etc. Have contacted the maker, we'll see what happens.

If there is no proof this time, it didn't happen.
